The VDI2 codes the main deformed vehicle area, developed by direct contact with the collision partner. Deformations out of the impact area are not coded here. If the primary contact point is not clear (e. g. edge of vehicle) use that code which is near the impulse momentum (VDI1). Example: contact point on left front edge; if VDI1 is 11 or 12 use front?, if VDI1 is 9 or 10 use left side?.
Remark: VDI2 is influencing the coding of VDI3 and VDI6.
The windscreen belongs to Zone 1 - Front?. This parameter has to be coded for two-wheelers since 2014. Older cases have been recoded by routines.
